BIO

Attorney of Counsel

Since the year 2000, Eric Register has worked extensively with KB Law assisting KB with the firm’s labor and employment litigation docket in courts and administrative agencies all along the Gulf Coast. At KB Law, Eric has played an indispensable role in nearly all of the firm’s major victories. From drafting petitions and briefs, to cross-examining an opponent’s expert witness, Eric has been an integral part of KB Law’s success in all of its labor and employment legal matters. Additionally, Eric L. Register is a Partner with REGISTER I Lett LLP in Atlanta, Georgia where he is his firm’s dispute resolution and litigation specialist. Eric has a background in a variety of areas of law, including insurance defense, products liability and commercial disputes and he has handled contractual disputes among private individuals and businesses, including disputes involving copyrights and trademarks. In describing his work, Eric prefers the term “dispute resolution” because it reflects a more proactive, creative, and comprehensive approach to serving clients than “litigation” alone implies. Eric is licensed to practice law in Georgia, North Carolina, and Louisiana.

The son of a military officer. Eric was born in Tokyo, Japan and grew up in Florida, California and South Carolina. He graduated from Morehouse College with honors, as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He then went directly to the University of North Carolina School of Law in Chapel Hill, where he earned his Juris Doctorate. After launching his career as a litigator with Yates McLamb & Weyher in North Carolina, he moved to New Orleans, Louisiana. There he continued his litigation practice with Abbott, Simses, Knister & Kuchler P.C., representing clients such as E.I. du Pont de Nemours (DuPont) and the Illinois Central Railroad. He then joined King, LeBlanc, & Bland, LLC, gaining greater experience representing corporations such as Chevron USA, in a variety of matters and disputes. Then he met KB.
